Nirmaan is a Non Profit Organisation started by Students of Bits-Pilani which works in areas of Education and Employment. With respect to education we have a major project, Gyan Bodh, an evening school program where we teach about 70 kids of pilani at Gyan Vihar. And with respect to Employment we have Self Help Groups as a major project. As a first step we have started a stitching centre in khedla which is running smoothly with 8 trainees.
After the stupendous success achieved in khedla training centre Nirmaan aimed at bringing out the hidden talent of people in other villages as well. As our second step we choose Harinagar Colony in order to carry out our mission of forming a network of training centres. After a survey and an interaction with the people we realized that it has good potential. We started publicizing this cause by distributing pamphlets among them.
The inauguration of the training centre took place on 14th September 2008. The chief guests for the event being Mrs.Surekha Bhanot , Electronics and Instrumentation chief professor, Mr.Rajesh Agarwaal, preseident of an NGO Jilha Paryavaran Sudhar Samiti
in Jhunjhunu , Mr.Naresh, LLB from Khedla and Mr.O.S.Verma Yoga teacher in the colony along with his wife , a physchologist. The turnout for the event was around 25 women which is quite impressive. Firstly a meditation session was conducted by Mr.O S Verma at 10.45 am. The training centre was inaugurated at 11 am by our honorable chief guest Mrs.Surekha Bhanot and a puja was held to appease Lord Ganesha.
Then we had a motivational speech by Mrs.Surekha Bhanot to all the women. She quoted instances from her own life and inspired them to work. Later Mr.Rajesh Agarwaal spoke about the NGO he is working with and also briefed them about SHG’s activities like Savings, Bank account and generating income. Our work till date done in Khedla was described by Mr.Naresh
Finally the timings, schedule and training fees was announced. The trainer Mrs.Manju Sharma was introduced to all the trainees and the course structure was chalked out. Thus the inauguration ended eventfully.

Good Job guyzz... Hope you get to make some stuff that can be sold in the oasis stall....
A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2" diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full?
They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. The students laughed. He asked his students again if the jar was full?
They agreed that yes, it was. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
"Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this is your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would be nearly destroyed.
The pebbles are the other things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale. The pebbles represent things like your job, your house, your car.
The sand is everything else. The small stuff. If you put the sand or the pebbles into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks.
The same goes for your life.
If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, material things, you will never have room for the things that are truly most important.
Pay attention to the things that are critical in your life. Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.
"Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter."
the things done by nirmaan surely have the diameter of rocks...
